Data centers are buildings that use A.I programs to store servers, data servers, and IT equipment. The environmental health project says that data centers deplete people's water supplies, and raise utility bills. They also say that not only do data centers pollute air, they also make a lot of noise that disrupt communities. The pollution from data centers taints the air and respiratory and cardiovascular problems in people rise.
With all of this information I ask you one question: Do you think storing and processing digital information is worth making human lives worse?
For more information, I recommend reading this article in the Harvard Gazette: Why are communities pushing back against data centers.
